Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and the first day of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence. Today, we remember our history as women and we remember the Mirabal sisters – who were assassinated fighting against the Trujillo Dictatorship – and their legacy of resistance! ¡Que vivan Las Mariposas!
