Women’s Work: Visibility through a Global Pandemic

Contact: AF3IRM San Diego [email protected]

In March of 2021, the San Diego Organizing Committee honored women’s struggle against patriarchy and imperialism by spotlighting local women of color whose labor supports our community.  The paid and unpaid labor performed by women is undervalued, and the past year’s pandemic and callous response by authority figures have added even more obstacles.  The goal of our project was to center the anti-capitalist revolutionary foundation of International Women’s Day by showing the ways women create beauty, solace, and empowerment with their work.  We are honored to have shared the stories of WOC artists, activists, business owners, and educators who work to build a world where women can be free from oppression.
