On International Women’s Day (IWD) 2024, AF³IRM calls on all women and people of conscience to do more than #InspireInclusion. The appropriate response in this pivotal moment in history is unprecedented action and an unwavering commitment to transnational feminism. Stand together for liberation.  This year, IWD is especially solemn as the world’s eyes are on the culminating acts of genocide in Palestine. For over 150 days, the worst of nightmares and experiences have stormed their way into our conscience. Over 30,000 Palestinians have been martyred. We grieve for the tens of thousands more injured, those lost under the rubble of their communities, and those who have yet to be accounted for.

AF³IRM NYC stands firmly on the principle and practice of believing a victim’s account of sexual violence. When, however, the “evidence” comes from those who are part of a propaganda machinery that has sought consistently to portray its adversary as “subhuman terrorists” and “animals,” we must rage against the machine.

Los Angeles—On Monday, November 20, 2023, AF³IRM convened feminist leaders transnationally from Honolulu, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, and New York City to highlight why the ongoing genocide in Palestine is a pressing transnational feminist issue. The virtual event brought together a global audience.

AF³IRM, a transnational feminist, anti-imperialist organization, denounces and condemns the continued escalation of U.S. support for the “Israel” entity in its war against Palestinians. As women, as descendants of families who have survived Israel and U.S.-backed dictatorships and interventions, we stand with the women and the people of Palestine. 

On March 8th, the 23rd year into this century, we once again celebrate Womankind’s long history of struggle for equity and equality in the human world. For those of us living and working and fighting in the territory of the United States, that means going beyond the annals of the settler feminist movement.

Knowing that public shaming, denunciation, and pillory have been standard tools of the patriarchal ruling class against women who defy dogmas and orthodoxies, AF³IRM issues this statement with great reluctance. But in this time of disinformation, deep fakes, and historical revisionism, we deem it necessary to stand firmly on the facts and nothing but.
